When Laurel + Bobby told me over coffee they were getting married at Circle Oak Ranch in Fallbrook I screamed …a little (on the inside of course – they hadn’t even booked me yet – needed to keep my composure). But seriously folks, Circle Oak Ranch is a hidden gem amongst San Diego’s most picturesque wedding venues!

The giant oak trees all over the property provide for a stunning ceremony site. And a romantic twinkle-light canopy over the reception area. Gorgeous!

I think the Circle Oak Ranch has such a special place in my heart because it reminds me a bit of Thousand Oaks. Thousand Oaks is a town north of Los Angeles, where I went to high school and college. There, oak trees are both a protected species and a town mascot of sorts!

Laurel + Bobby’s wedding there was equal parts romantic, intimate, also playful, and fun! They limited their bridal party to just her sister and his brother. Having a small wedding party made for an intimate and mellow getting ready time. It also let them really focus on each other and their families.

Although the forecast called for rain, the skies stayed dry and the clouds even gave way to a few moments of brilliant sunshine just as we made our way to this venue’s shining glory. Such a stunning hilltop with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding hillsides! Once all the formalities of the day were done, the party got started with a killer dessert bar and S’mores station! And a rad photobooth, complete with props (hello, unicorn head!), and ended with a glow-stick tunnel grand exit!

I’m still swooning over this day – can we do it all again, guys?
