I was thrilled when Sarah and Rob decided to take their engagement photos in the beautiful Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. This desert location was such an interesting shift from where I usually get to shoot, and I love it! Those rugged mountains, the prickly cactus, and the bright blue desert sky all lit up with that romantic golden sunlight providing the best location for the most whimsical engagement photos.

Plus, it helps when your couple is so freaking rad too. Sarah and Rob are seriously the sweetest and have such a playful love – even after 7 years of dating already! They have such a genuine and authentic connection that capturing candid, natural shots of their tender moments was a breeze.  I also love the color palette of this session! Sarah’s boho-inspired flowy maxi dress in coral-red is the perfect outfit choice for a desert engagement session. The dress really pops against the sandy neutral tones of the environment. The dress just carried that desert breeze beautifully, adding lots of motion to the images, which I love!  Just check her out twirling in the light of the golden hour sun!
