Marissa + Eric’s jewel-toned urban-meets-historic wedding at downtown Redlands’, The Mitten Building, was equal parts boho and rock, and of course, brimming with beautiful autumn-colored details. The venue has a distinct industrial vibe. Aged red brick and exposed ceilings, but its golden lighting and dark wood beams lend warmth. The ceremony and reception space felt comfortable and charming. (For my San Diego brides, check out Luce Loft or Brick for a similar vibe).  Outside, the fuchsia bougainvillea bushes add magnificent pops of organic color and texture. It provided the perfect backdrop for some stunning bridal party photos.

Speaking of the bridal party – this squad was definite GOALS!   The guys were fun and irreverent – with quick wit and personality for days! The bridesmaids, sassy and sweet in their beautifully coordinated jewel-toned gowns and florals – were very attentive to their gorgeous bride. Her rounding belly held her soon-to-be baby girl! This little addition made their memorable day that much more meaningful and their sweetest moments that much sweeter.  As Marissa stepped into her scalloped-lace gown, clipped in her cathedral veil, and, surrounded by her mother and grandmother. Looking in the mirror, her hands instinctively enveloped her growing bump. She realized there were now 4 generations of women in that mirror’s reflection.

And whether this was pregnancy-craving-induced or not, we were thrilled to find creature comforts like old-fashioned Soda Pop favors, and a Cookie + Brownie Dessert Bar. Dessert Bar complete with milk for dunking!  And we most certainly enjoyed the 6-piece Mariachi Band which played Norteño classics. They had the guests singing along in sweet nostalgia. Marissa + Eric’s wedding hashtag was #justustwo2017, but sweet little Zephyr soon. Made them a party of three! I am just so honored I got to capture these beginnings to their family legacy!
