Aloha Baby!

Aloha is one of those words that has so many meanings, and also just one. It is used to mean affection, compassion, mercy, hello, goodbye, peace, and love, sometimes all at once. But aloha is more than the sum of its various meanings. Aloha is a spirit that moves through you and binds your souls to each other. Aloha is a way of Life.  

So when I saw the “ALOHA” doormat welcoming me to this adorable family’s home in North Park, a decidedly hipster little part of San Diego proper, I knew that the energy awaiting me inside would be nothing short of dreamy.  

I first met the D-family in the fall of last year. We had the most perfect little family lifestyle session. These guys just have the most beautiful energy about them and when I noticed Mom was pregnant, I secretly hoped I could capture her newborn photos too! Of course, I never worked up the courage to ask. But imagine how thrilled I was to hear from her again just a few months later! I feel so incredibly honored to have captured these special newborn baby memories for them!

I am absolutely thrilled with how this session turned out!  As much as we want them to be not every session can be our best session. Somehow both times I’ve captured this family I have walked away feeling like it was just meant to be. Sometimes you just connect with people and magic happens. This was one of those times, so please enjoy some of my favorite images from our time together.
