I used to think Fall was my favorite season – and it’s still up there (give me all the pumpkin spice!) – but I have really grown to appreciate San Diego in the Spring. And especially when a wet winter gives way to super bloom wildflowers in all our local nature preserves! To be honest, this Carlsbad Lagoon is gorgeous year-round but it really does come extra alive in the Spring! Nothing can touch the whimsical wildflower patches. Just makes for the perfect spot for some San Diego spring engagement photos.

This beautiful couple fits the setting to a tee. I love how Sydney’s soft purple sweater picked up on the lightest lavender hints in those baby blooms! Oh, and one last thing – how cute is their little fur baby? I LOVE when my couples bring their pups to our engagement session! What a petunia!
